Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, yet only 5 minutes from the M4, this 12th Century Grade 1 listed building reputed to be England's most ancient inn. In the centre of Malmesbury, adjacent to the Abbey it is only 30 minutes from Bath and close to many other beautiful villages. Many original features have been retained, and combined with modern facilities and all 31 en suite bedrooms are immaculately individually decorated. Within the original buildings there are a variety of places to eat, for example the restaurant and the great hall. The Old Bell has an excellent reputation for good food that is traditionally English in style with an innovative twist. The chef's classic and imaginative cooking exemplifies the best in English cooking. Meals range from four-course dinners to informal snacks all complimented by fine wines. Vegetarian meals and a Children's menu are available.
