While Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant enjoys an enviable reputation for the freshness and quality of meals prepared, each of the 29 en-suite bedrooms offer fine quality fixtures and fittings. The quayside location in Padstow, along the beautiful coast of Cornwall is a memorable escape. There is always a terrific buzz of busy, delighted, happy guests.
The renowned Head Chef, television's famous Rick Stein continues to maintain an incredibly high standard under the pressure. In this award-winning restaurant the quality of the fish and timing is perfect. He produces fish cookery that is simplicity itself; it eschews heavy sauces and takes notice of the seasons. A fat fillet of haddock requires little more than some haricot beans, tarragon, capers and warm mayonnaise. Modern ideas are there aplenty and the dishes completely show Stein's willingness to explore fish cooking globally. Some imaginative desserts also move away from the standard English pudding.
